Spotlight Photos * Grandparents Day and Patriot Day *

I am so so sorry for being so late with Spotlight Photos. You would not believe the week I have had. So now, forget about that. Last Friday our theme was Grandparents Day and Patriot Day. Since there were only a few participants I have chosen one from each. Here we go!!

one of mine for Patriot Day

Thank you for sharing photos of your cherished ones.

September 16th our theme is the Letter T.

A tree toad loved a she-toad
Who lived up in a tree.
He was a two-toed tree toad
But a three-toed toad was she.
The two-toed tree toad tried to win
The three-toed she-toad's heart,
For the two-toed tree toad loved the ground
That the three-toed tree toad trod.
But the two-toed tree toad tried in vain.
He couldn't please her whim.
From her tree toad bower
With her three-toed power
The she-toad vetoed him.

Spotlight Photos * Human Labor * and member voice for September 9th

Hi All!

Fantastic photos by all for Human Labor. It was a lot of fun seeing how everyone showed Human Labor in their town.

Spotlight Photos in no particular order:

September 9th our theme is about Grandparents Day and Patriot Day.

The impetus for a National Grandparents Day originated with Marian McQuade, a housewife in Fayette County, West Virginia. Her primary motivation was to champion the cause of lonely elderly in nursing homes. She also hoped to persuade grandchildren to tap the wisdom and heritage their grandparents could provide. President Jimmy Carter, in 1978, proclaimed that National Grandparents Day would be celebrated every year on the first Sunday after Labor Day. When is Grandparents Day?
In 2011, Grandparents Day falls on Sept. 11th
